This article is about the participation of the teams that represent Republic of Moldova at the World Universiade (aa. 1995-2011). National University team of Republic of Moldova began in the eighteenth edition of the World Universiade, participating in nineconsecutive editions. Number of participants from Republic of Moldova vary from one edition to another, with the largest number of athletes (34) to the twentieth edition, or. Sicily (Italy) – 1997. The best benefit of the representativeness (teams) of the Republic of Moldova was recorded in the previous edition (2009) that won three medals (gold, silver and bronze). For Republic of Moldova, World Universiade is a big international competition, but the preparation, participation and obtaining performances are the main objectives of the state. |
