On the basis of unpublished letters discovered at the Department of manuscripts of the Romanian Academy Library, the author of this article introduces some scientific data and
information about a lesser-known personality in the history of Bessarabia, the folklorist priest and scholar Dimitrie Balaur (born in the village Mereni on 08/04/1903 – dead in Bucharest
on 19.04.1966), particularly about his relations with the literary historian, editor and folklorist G. T. Kirileanu. |
