The research focused on examining the elements of agroecosystems, with a particular emphasis on the interconnections between „soil-plant”, energy flow dynamics, and human interventions aimed at achieving the primary agricultural objective: the harvest. The assessment of both qualitative and quantitative parameters of winter wheat yiled provides insights into the potential and realized productivity of the crop under specific production conditions, including factors related to potential and effective soil fertility. Discrepancies between reported harvest values by agricultural enterprises and those observed in field research were significant. Based on soil bonitation data, potential harvest values were calculated for winter wheat agroecosystems within the administrative territories of Chistelnita and Tirsitei villages, Telenesti district. Assessment of organic matter mineralization processes in winter wheat agrocenoses revealed negative values in the energy balance, indicating potential soil degradation. Analysis of input/output ratios offers opportunities to correct and complete formulas governing the energy flows cycle within agroecosystems, aiming to mitigate soil degradation and preserve fertility levels for sustained agricultural productivity and food security. |
