This article provides an account of the founding and preservation of the journal "Limba Română" in light of historical, political and cultural challenges. The author depicts the difficulties of producing the journal „Limba Română” in the area bordered by the Prut and Dniester rivers, related to the political and cultural restrictions of the time. The magazine is celebrated for its role in reinstating and strengthening the cultural ties between Romanians in Romania and those in the Republic of Moldova after a half-century interruption, and for opening their horizons towards other cultures. More than its literary and aesthetic significance, the magazine's existence embodies the act of resistance and defiance against oppressive forces, with an emphasis on the preservation of the Romanian language.
