The wild american vine (V. rotundifolia Michx.) posesses absolute immunity to phylloxera
while the vine of cultura (V. vinifera L.) does not posess such immunity to this pest. In result of the cross
of the vine V. vinifera L. to V. rotundifolia Michx. there was created a wide variety of the distant hybrids
of different generations. It is stated that distant hybrids of V. vinifera L. x V. rotundifolia Michx. do have
immunity to phylloxera galicol form. |
