The present paper is a comparative study of seedlings of six Thymus species, from histo-anatomical point of view, revealing the common features and the differences that result too. The germination of Thymus species is of epigeous type, the cotyledons rises at light in 4-5 days. All the axial organs (root, hypocotyl and epicotyl) are very thin; the cotyledons are circular, slightly hard-shaped at the basis, having the limb of 2-3 mm and the petiole of 3-4 mm and the primordial leaves are ovate, small, with opposed disposition.
