While planning and implementing necessary adjustments a manager follows various methods of carrying out organizational changes that inspire him to use in his work the elements of
humanistic psychology. The humanistic psychology approach emerged in the United States during 50s-60s of XX century.
Its basic premise concerns the idea that management should not mechanically influence subordinates but should see everybody as a personality with its feelings and thoughts and should show
empathy in any situation. Regarding organizational changes the approach implies that the key role of mentor manager is to help to overcome difficulties standing on the way of changes and to find the best solution both for the company and for the employee himself. |
