The article reflects the long and difficult process that preceded the introduction of the notion of Romanian language into the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova. The article refers to the journal „Limba Română” publications in the process of the legislative change. In the last thirty years, a number of articles, studies, interviews have been published on subjects such as the identity of Bessarabian Romanians, the Romanian language as the official language in the Republic of Moldova, as recently adopted by the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova. Adopting the notion of Romanian language in the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova is a historical event, which calls for a change in attitude towards the Romanian language, as the official means of communication in the Republic of Moldova. |
