The emergence of the Republic of Moldova was primarily due to international events of the end of XX century, the dismantling of the Soviet Union and, therefore, the bipolar system of international law. The analysis and evaluation of causes and effects of global transformation is still necessary to subject to the process of meditation, but it is quite obvious that in order to overcome the routine analytical thinking, life experience puts us in the face of problems, the nature and content of which is still difficult to understand and deal with.
This process has a planetary size; it should be regarded as the cause and the main force of promoting and supporting of the transition from a bipolar system of international relations to the new world order. It was difficult to determine the structure, size, depth, content and implications of this transition, as well as its strategic direction. However, not too often these themes were appeared as a point of issue and as priority lines of activity of states as their main priorities have been aimed at the destruction of the old bipolar system.
The Republic of Moldova, located geographically in the center of Europe, practically reflects all the shades of old continent, being split in economic and military-political aspect throughout almost two centuries. Besides all, located at the junction of the three world religions, like - Orthodoxy, Catholicism and Islam and two civilizations: West and East, it has incurred its conscience and all potential of social conflicts. These conditions of geopolitical confrontation couldn‘t leave but left prints on the process of formation and development of the young independent state. |
