The article covers the role of the use of special knowledge while conducting forensic economic expertise in the criminal process in Ukraine. The author provides definition of special knowledge and its special characteristics as well as the way it is used by experts during the course of forensic examination. Major attention is paid to economic forensic expertise as one of the fields where application of special knowledge is a significant aspect. The subject of forensic economic examination is defined and characterized. The results of forensic economic examinations serve as an auxiliary lever for an effective mechanism for compelling evidence in the investigation of economic crimes. The objects of research are listed and their role as information support of the research process on income tax transactions is substantiated. The article emphasizes the necessity of correct choice of research methods and techniques of forensic expertise for conducting an expert research. |
