Teacher’s perception of the students determines the character of their relationship. The
development of contact and understanding depends on the exactness of the perception. The peculiarities of perception depend on the teacher’s experience, her/his expectations and intensions. Individual peculiarities and teacher’s outlook determine his/her interpretation of the pupil’s image. Integral orientations and aims transform the perception a subjunctive process. The professional style is also connected with the peculiarities of the perception. Emotionality and empathy help better to understand a pupil, his worries and needs. Pedagogical stereotypes prevent teachers from perceiving pupils as they are. The lack of reflection and feedback lowers the effectiveness of the pedagogical activity. |
