Microfinance is a very important sector in the global financial system. Microfinance services are an indispensable component of the banking system of many countries, helping to reduce poverty by training people, encouragement of entrepreneurship activity (especially through women), creating new jobs, regional development, etc. Microfinance is an important component in today's world, without which much of the world population wouldn't have access to financial resources. Considering the positive socio-economic impact of microfinance activities, both for developing economies, as well as for Moldova's economy requires a thorough study, a quantitative and qualitative assessment of the impact. The problem is complicated due to lack of macroeconomic impact studies on microfinance. Most studies are limited to the assessment of individual and community impact. As a result of research, it was concluded that microfinance is a very important sector, a powerful tool against poverty that enlarges access to financial services. Simultaneous it was synthesized direct and indirect positive effects of microfinance. |
