In our days, the leasing agreement is examined more and more seriously by both theoreticians and practitioners. The growing interest can be easily explained if we take into account its practical, useful application in our daily life. In doctrines there are many debates about the nature and importance of classifications of this contract. These classifications can vary due to many criteria which are taken into account. During this brief item, we have intended to outline the importance of these classifications by analyzing both the national and international laws. At the same time, we have made an attempt to give the most interesting ideas which exist in doctrines. We can say that this item represents a comparative study of the classifications of the leasing agreement. On the one hand, we used both national and international laws – outlining the practical aspect and on the other hand, by using doctrine’s ideas we gave a theoretical aspect of the problem. Our goal was to outline the practical aspects of such kind of classifications and in this context we tried to exemplify our suggestions.
