Acest articol este dedicat reflectării realităților specifice și toposurilor Chișinăului (în special în perioada interbelică) de pe mind map-ul evreilor băștinași și locuitori ai orașului. Ca material analizat, am folosit în principal textele interviurilor înregistrate și prelucrate ca parte a proiectului de colectare a poveștilor și fotografiilor personale, implementat în Moldova de către Institutul Istoric Evreiesc Centropa (Germania) în 2001–2003, precum și alte surse cu caracter memorialistic. În prima parte prezentată, sunt examinate sinagogile și instituțiile de învățământ din Chișinău. Articolul conține o scurtă referință la istoria evreilor din Chișinău, precum și amintiri corelate cu informații istorice despre locuri semnificative pentru Chișinău, cum ar fi Sinagoga Corală, ieșiva, liceele și gimnaziile Principesa Dadiani, Regina Maria, Jeanne d’Arc, Colegiul profesional pentru fete evreice ș.a. Studiul arată modul în care se transformă realitățile istorice, refractânduse prin prisma amintirilor personale. Interpretând memoriile copilăriei din perioada antebelică, înregistrate mai bine de jumătate de secol mai târziu, se poate urmări și procesul de secularizare a comunității evreiești și integrarea acesteia în societatea moldovenească. În viitor, vor fi luate în considerare și instituțiile de caritate evreiești: spitale, orfelinate, aziluri, precum și locul cimitirului evreiesc în istoria orașului și memoriile personale ale evreilor din Chișinău.

Межвоенный Кишинев в памяти евреев (I) Настоящая статья посвящена отражению конкретных реалий и топосов Кишинева (преимущественно межвоенного периода) на mind map евреев – уроженцев и жителей города. В качестве анализируемого материала привлечены в основном тексты интервью, собранные, записанные и обработанные в рамках проекта по сбору личных историй и фотографий, реализованного в Молдове Еврейским историческим институтом Centropa (Германия) в 2001–2003 гг.; а также другие источники мемуарного характера. В представленной первой части рассматриваются кишиневские синагоги и учебные заведения. Статья содержит краткую историческую справку о еврейской истории Кишинева, воспоминания в сравнении с историческими справками о таких значимых для кишиневцев местах, как Хоральная и другие синагоги, ешива, лицеи и гимназии княгини Дадиани, Regina Maria, Jeanne d’Arc, ремесленное училище для еврейских девочек. Исследование показывает, как трансформируются исторические реалии, преломляясь сквозь призму личных воспоминаний. Кроме того, по детским воспоминаниям довоенного периода, записанным более полувека спустя, можно проследить процесс секуляризации еврейской общины и интеграции ее в молдавское общество. В перспективе будут рассмотрены и еврейские благотворительные учреждения: больницы, сиротские дома, богадельни, а также место еврейского кладбища в истории города и в частных воспоминаниях кишиневских евреев.

This article is devoted to the reflection of specific realities and sites of Chisinau (mainly of the interwar period) on the mind map of Jews – natives and residents of the city. We mainly used as material for analysis interview texts collected, recorded and processed as part of the project for the collection of personal stories and photographs, implemented in Moldova by the Jewish Historical Institute Centropa (Germany) in 2001–2003; as well as other sources of memoir character. In the first presented part, Chisinau synagogues and educational institutions are examined. The article contains a brief view of the history of the Jews from Chisinau, as well as their recollections compared with historical information about significant sites of Chisinau, such as the Choral Synagogue and others, yeshiva, Princess Dadiani, Regina Maria, Jeanne d’Ark lyceums and gymnasiums, the vocational school for Jewish girls. The study shows how historical realities are transformed, being refracted through the prism of personal memories. According to childhood memoirs of the pre-war period, recorded more than half a century later, one can also trace the process of secularization of the Jewish community and its integration into Moldavian society. In the future, Jewish charity institutions will also be studied: hospitals, orphanages, almshouses; as well as the place of the Jewish cemetery in the history of the city and in private memoirs of Chisinau Jews.
