Rezumat

Burn shock is the first step in the evolution of the burned disease. Abnormal concentrations of plasma proteins, complement components, destroyed white blood cells, immune-mediated cells, present in thermal damage and destruction of surface barrier are causing immune system disturbances in local and systemic defense. Thus these products influences locally the function of neutrophils, lymphocytes and contribute to an increased incidence of septic complications in burn patients. The shock produces metabolic disturbances and the activation of inflammatory and endocrine systems. Shock, thus is contributing to the dysfunction of the main body systems, different types of metabolism and disturb the functional status of the main organs and systems.
